Disclaimer: I dislike Samsung phones. I still do. Their hardware design could no be more uninspiring. That said, I had been hunting for a phone for a good time. I had very specific requirements. 1. Dual SIM 2. AMOLED display only 3. Reading heavy use (Kindle, Flipboard, mails, FB, Feeds) 4. Skype should work well in not on top (some phones dont work that well) 5. Decent storage (if not, expandable) 6. Decent font size changing capabilities 7. Secondary noise cancelling microphone (for good clarity in noisy conditions) 8. Decent screen size that i can carry in a formal shirt pocket 9. Decent screen size that lets me read without pinching zooming all the time 10. Price under 20k. 11. Latest OS and a decent upgrade roadmap 12. WiFi hotspot for a good 4 hours at least without charge 13. Battery that lasts all day (12 hours at least) on 3G 14. Gorilla glass (I dont use covers and put it in my pant pockets now and then along with car keys) After searching all over, only LG L90 came close but did not have a secondary mic. which was a deal breaker for me. I finally met a good sales person in a Smart Cafe who showed this phone to me. Met all my requirements except #10 & #11. I compromised and went in for it. Been using it for a good 3 weeks now. I've put in an enamel cover on top to hide the uninspiring Samsung Hardware design. I hate to admit, being Samsung and all, I must say that am impressed. The phone has been rock solid. People compare tech. specs all the time. I does not matter once it meets your needs (use cases). I met mine. I must say that its worth that little premium that we pay for the phone. Hope it lasts a good 3/4 years of abuse.

Hi everyone I am reviewing it again because people who just compare s3 neo with grand 2 is good thing but why people leaves 1 star rating it destroys the rating of such a great phone from samsung. and I have to say that this phone is really designed for humans! and its better than grand 2 because s3 neo has 16 gb internal vs grand 2 8 gb.super amoled vs tft on grand 2.thin and lightweight design vs bulky and weight is more eg 133g on s3 neo and 163g on grand 2.grand 2 doesn't have voice features too which are present in s3 neo

Let me be straight. I have bought 3 mobiles in this range in the last 6 months, for my family members and I am a tech savvy guy, so this is not going to be newbie suggestion. I have 2 moto Gs, htc 616 and a zenfone 5, also I have used all the others mobiles in this range which includes but not limited to lg90, lumia 635 & 730. And I'll just say this mobile is so good. "It's display is not supposed to exist in a mobile at this price point". When you interact with the mobile mainly through its screen, its easy to love this little gem. Its light for its size and doesn't feel laggy for even a second and that matters a lot more than cosmetic benchmarks. I became a bit skeptical upon seen some of the "Samsung hater" reviews. But was ecstatic when I got it. It was just perfect. The heating 'problem' which so many reviews point out is nothing more than my nexus 7 or the other mobiles mentioned above. Though I understand that others brands(Indian/Chinese) can offer better bang for the buck, I am sure that it can never replace a true mobile giant. Samsung is many things, but its definitely not pretentious. I have read reviews with headings like "Samsung kneels down"etc. The truth is that they just want the 10-15k range filled with something really good. Moto changed everything with their moto g(which is awesome) but once you handle this mobile, you will surely thank yourself for buying this. Haters gonna hate. Just do the right thing, buy yourself an "S3" for 12.5k. P.S. Its always better to read "Certified Buyer" reviews.

Rahul: My friend, so far the only reason I have come across that justifies this phone's more expensive price than the Grand 2 is that the screen on the s3 neo is a Super AMOLED screen versus a TFT screen on the Grand 2. AMOLED screens are more energy efficient and produce brighter colours and darker blacks than TFT screens. But if screen quality is not a concern the grand 2 (because it has a bigger battery - 2600MAh vs 2100MAh) or even the older s3, i.e. the i9300(because of its higher clock speed of 1.4GHz) and its LTE variant (i.e. the i9305 with 2gb RAM) would be a better choice.

My freinds all are buying motog2,zenfone 5 and hauwei honor holy.They also told me to buy from these phones only but i ordered this phone with out listening them but They are only saying They done wrong after seeing this phone Pros:- Display(4.8'') 11gb for apps n media(In motog,zenfone 5,honor holy there is a limit of storage for installing apps means sharing memory 2gb for apps n remaining for media.This leads to tell memory full for installing apps but In this S3 NEO we can install apps n media in 11gb) Cam(Two cams are capturing clear pics and recording real hd video) RGB Sensor(red led at charging and at low charging converts to Green after charging and Blue led when Received Notification) Cons:- Some heating after 30 minutes using common for all mobiles So,Dont see anymobiles buy it,use it,enjoy

i am writing this review after using the galaxy s3 neo for a 1 month. i got it at Rs. 19990/- by ECC seller along with offer of 10% cashback at 15/8/1014 with sbi card. the phone is worth your money. no complaints no lags. very smooth operations. if you have 20000bugs and want a good quality product just go for it guys. you will be very happy.

very heating when i using internet and gaaming with in 2 mint as like hot plate near by 40 degree temprature,this is my real story.

I have used this phone, it heats from back side while using internet. This may burn motherboard and can harm you also. Seriously needs to be checked by Samsung team for health hazard apart from feature. Overall features are good and look of phone is also great. Flipkart service is excellent and 5* to flipkart.

Dual Sim No other phones can compete with its display quality. Now a days every phone comes up with HD Display but believe me you can't get a better display then Samsung's Super Amoled. This is a mind blowing deal from flipkart. This mobile is far better then MOTO G2, Asus Zenfone 5 and all other current running models of various brands. I wont be wasting ur time regarding specs...but this is the best fone from the bes t(atleast in asia) brand. The most imp thing I need to tell you about this product is that, I got the handset which started to heat even after basic use of whatsapp & browser. The heat was not that much, but still if u r using a fone for basic purpose, it shouldnt heat at all & I am a Electronics &Telecommunication engineer so I know that. Also I am not a gamer so a fone heating is not a good sign. I immediately told the flipkart persons & my replacement was accepted. Hats off to Flipkart for such an excellent service. I received the replacement handset in 2 days. Now I am using this handset for 4 days now, I installed heavy apps, used for video calling on Skype for 1 hr, tried the best to squeeze the fone, But trust me guys, this handset heated not even a penny. So overall I want to say that if u get this model which is getting even slightly heated,, go for replacement immediately. Pros: 1. Brilliant display (IPS + AMOLED ) 2. excellent design which fits to ur hand easily 3. great looks (I took pebble blue)...probably the best looks of any samsung series 4. True 8mp camera. Front cam is also good for selfies & video calls. 5. crisp & clear earpiece sound for voice calls 6. Flawless performance & zero lags 7. 1.5Gb RAM is its best part. 573MB RAM is free even after I installed so many apps. 8. Wifi Hardware is awesome. I get gr8 signals where I usually didnt got on my previously used handsets. 9. I can keep writing n writing n writing.... Cons: 1. After 4 days of usage, still couldnt find any. But if I came to know, I will post it.
