In looks department it may be exactly identical to the 816 but the hardware specs speaks the truth and reveals why the 816 is a highly successful phone in its price segment. if you want to differentiate on one particular and important aspect then it will be the heart of the phone that is the processor. 816 runs with the help of Snapdragon 400 series processor which is proven for its stability and performence whereas the 816 G uses the Mediatek processor which is used in all low budget phones. The 816 has 1.6 GHz CPU while the 816 G has 1.3 GHz CPU. Then the RAM is also less, 816 comes with 1.5 GB while the 816 G comes with 1GB only. External card support for 816 is upto 128 GB while the 816 G supports upto 32 GB only. They have also stripped down some of the inbuit apps in 816 G. Otherwise both the phones are exactly identical to each other. I am using the 816 for more than a month now and its awesome. Really Kudos to HTC for the display....the super LCD 2 is just awsome.

the main difference from desire 816 is that 816G has mediatek processor while 816 has Qualcomm SD processor, instead flipkart listed 816G also has qualcomm's processor. Make the change Flipkart.

I am using 816g since past one week. At first I saw HTC 816 and I became a big fan of it..such a brilliant mobile it is but my budget is less so I fixed for moto g (2nd gen)....almost went for the check out....at the same time my darling enters i.e., 816g at the mid-range phones....thats it I lost my heart on it without any second thought I ordered this mobile....I bought this mobile from www.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.in as at that time flipkart didn't listed it in its site...i bought it for 18990/- on the very first day of release. K coming to the working of the mobile.... HTC boom sound stereo speakers gives u a very clear sound so with out head set also u can hear every minute sound -4g LTE -HTC brand Headset -HTC UI -Well Crafted slilm Design cons:- Battery:- Yes,its battery obviously a small back drop of this phone.its 2600 mah battery though it gives a decent backup with such a huge display its some what less for a smart phone.. i buy this phone via flipcart. got in seal pack and good condition at very low cost. phone is awesome. best in its class no other brand provides such specification as 816g. htc is brand you can always trust build quality superb no doubt . phone runs smooth . go for it best phone for 18000.

I bought this set yesterday from a local dealer of HTC for 18K. I'm writing this review on the basis of less than 24 hours of use,though I'm feeling like I did not did any mistake buying this phone.. In this mid-range,this phone is worth buying for all its features and obviously the brand value of HTC is maintained in this set also... Pors:- 1. look is just awesome.. 2. resolution is great.. 3. camera quality no need to specify 4. touch is smoother than anything 5. headphone quality is outsanding 6. battery backup is also good(though its mah less than 24 hours use till now) cons:- no such cons to revel... Good luck all who are planning to buy a phone under 20K,i'll always suggest to have HTC 816G..

I have received the phone before promised date and very good service from Flipkart and WS retail. Overall I am satisfied with performance of HTC desire 816g.
