This laptop is great for those who are looking for a portable desktop and people who can prioritize thermals over weight. The temps of this laptop are really great. Without any undervolting I could run everything at ultra with smooth experience and temperature won't go above 74C. If you plan to carry laptop everyday then it could be a problem for you. I was confused with MSI ge-73 8rf and this. But I saw people had to undervolt in MSI to maintain temps around 80. Although MSI is more fancy with much more rgb per key and at back but to me that doesn't matter in the long run. When I saw the thermals of this laptop I bought it straight away. It also has a gsync enabled screen and two thunderbolts. It is almost like a portable desktop. Building a pc with same specs might be costlier. I have included the firestrike score in my screenshots. The delivery experience was pathetic in terms of packaging the product and the time they took to deliver such a high value item. It took them 6 days to deliver it from Kolkata to bangalore which I think could have been done in 3 days and has been done in 3 days before when I have bought some other items. The outer package was torn out. Looking at it I was scared if there was any damage or some tampering could have been done. One of the inner seal tape of outermost predator box was also cut. It was disappointing to see such an expensive item sent in such condition. Although everything inside was fine. Flipkart you gotta do a better job for packaging of high value products.

Its a very good laptop to buy with amazing config and build but you have to watch out if you are a Linux user. 1) I have added the issues which occur when using this laptop with Linux based OS in the Acer Community Forum. The special keys at the top (1-5) are bit detected in Ubuntu, The speaker did not work initially and it said the headphone is always connected (i guess its due to improper pin mapping) - other people are also facing the same issue, The graphics driver had issues with secondary displays (with the default 390 which was suggested). But was fixed when I installed NVIDIA 415 drivers. 2) Battery drains very very quickly and I am getting a backup of max 2 hours without running any games. If you are fine having it plugged in to charge all the time, go for it.

An absolute beast at this price range. 144hz refresh rate is so good to look at. although the display panel isn't that bright, it gets the job done well enough. The added thickness helps in keeping the laptop cool even during heavy load (makes it look cool as well). Its been 8 months since i bought it, still haven't encountered a single issue Only thing that i was sad for was that they don't provide a laptop bag with this. It also has 5 programmable keys for each group. You get to switch between 3 different groups with the 'P' key, so you get to have 15 total programmable keys which is amazing. Can handle all the modern AAA tittles with breeze at ultra settings. especially if you play games like CSGO, Dota, R6S , the 144hz refresh rate is just way too good for a smooth experience. Keep in mind, after you get used to playing games on this, going back to your old system with 60 fps refresh rate will make you feel like playing on an extremely laggy machine. Also forgot to mention, the sound quality is decent but not that great. So overall, this laptop is too good for this price range. although i was thinking about going with the msi ge73 model, but after doing some research, i found out this laptop has really great cooling, so i went with it because where i live, it tends to get really hot during summer and dealing with thermal throttling is the last thing i would want to do on an expensive laptop. Thicker Chassis = Better Cooling If you are thinking of buying this laptop, just go for it. I can assure you that you won't regret it. If beautiful RGB is important to you, go with the msi ge73 (Thats a great laptop too)
