Predator is the name given to Acer's gaming notebooks. Helio 300 is the latest offering from the company and it offers specifications we have not seen from any other brand at this price. Special mention to the thermal design with dual AeroBlade fans-these are custom, ultrathin metal fans that enable better and quieter airflow to cool the massive heat-generating components inside. The Helios 300 impresses with its stylish and sturdy design-it has a brushed metal finish lid and palm rest. On top are red accents with the Predator logo engraved in silver. Overall, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is a winner in our books. It offers great performance, top-notch specifications, stylish design and saves you some money.

IPS panel with a matte finish which is always nice to have. It is sharp and colors look good thanks to the 81 percent sRGB color gamut coverage. Heat management is done thanks to two inbuilt fans. As soon as you turn on a heavy game or anything that requires higher performance, the dual fans speed up to cool the innards. Alternatively, you can control fan speeds manually thanks to the pre-installed Predator Sense app. The trackpad has a smooth surface and a red outline. It offers a decent size but the left and right clicks are a bit soft. The Windows gestures work good too and are very responsive. Acer has also added two easy access panels at the bottom to upgrade or replace the RAM or HDD.

First of all i am happy with flipkart service..I booked on 21st september and received on 24. About product:- Acer Predator Helios 300 is a rocking monster...With best configuration . It comes with i7-7700HQ processor, 8GB DDR4 ram and 4 GB NVIDIA 1050Ti graphics card, 128 SSD, 1 TB HDD. It comes with pre installed Windows 10 single language home OS. The startup time is very less. The sound quality is good, i used headphones also. There are Acer center, Dolby panel, NVIDIA panel for controlling performance. I installed ANSYS 18.1 and tested, it is easy working with this. Watched full hd movies. Video quality good. The touch pad is greatly impressed me. The backlight keyboard works great. Overall performance of Predator is good . After using some more time...I will write another review.

Genuine review on performance, usage and build quality after 1 month of usage: - What I like : - 1. Laptop is sturdy and well-built. Bought it for Rs. 59,990 and for this price the laptop has exceeded my expectation. 2. Boot up time is 9-10 seconds (literally). 3. If you are an intermediate gamer or content developer this lappy can absolutely nail it. Its future proof for next 2-3 years with no issues. Can last long but then have to upgrade. 4. Absolutely nails all latest gaming titles of 2017 (talking of Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Battlefield 1). 5. Though the screen in of 1920*1080 resolution due to strong processor and advanced chipset 4K videos are still rendered with ease (just in case if you wish to see 4K quality videos). 6. No heating issues for daily usage. Only throws up with extensive gaming for prolonged hours which is expected from any gaming laptop. 7. The most important thing the the brightness of the screen. Most people complain about brightness of the screen being just 250 nits (not bright enough to work in broad daylight); however, its good enough and not much of an issues for the price paid. What I didn't like much: 1. No accessories with laptop like bag or carrying case (though at Rs.59,990 you can't be greedy). 2. Hard to get inside the laptop. 3. Limited port selection. 4. SSD drive should have been at least 512GB, but again look at the price. 5. Mediocre battery life. Always carry your charger. All n all if you are getting this laptop for Rs. 59,990 just go for it, its more than a bargain, but for price of 1.09 Lac you can try and look for other options. After almost 15 days of usage..... The first thing I would like to say is, the looks of the laptop r just amazing.. Except the bottom, rest of the laptop is made of metal..Now coming to gaming..... U can't really expect 60fps in every game with high settings as 1050ti is just for entry level gaming laptops whereas 1060 can most certainly hit the 60fps mark for every game.. Few games I've tried with Max settings and vsync on r Witcher 3(40-50 fps), gta v(55-60),cod ww2(constant 60fps),Dishonored 2(35-45fps... Poorly optimized game), AC origins (35-43fps....graphics intense game) and couple of steam games which gives 60 fps without breaking sweat... There aren't many cons in this laptop except heating and brightness issues. The cooling system in this laptop is really really bad.. For the first week, games like gta v and Witcher 3 almost gave cpu temperatures of (90-99°c) and once it even went upto 100° which results in thermal throttling and could also be harmful for cpu in prolonged periods of time.. Then I installed throttlestop application (risky software if you don't know Wht u r doing) and undervolted the cpu upto -125 mV. Then the temperatures came down to (80-89°c)...so.. Every time I play a game, I have to run throttlestop and set my fans to max to keep the temperatures under 90...Finally brightness.. Doesn't really make any difference indoors but it is pretty bad outside (No body plays games sitting under a tree outside) so don't need to worry abt it....Finally my suggestion.. If you want graphics and high performance at the same time.. 1050ti will disappoint you.. Go for 1060..however if u just want to play games by compromising on graphics for performance 1050 ti is good as it is really cheap
