I had Sony bravia smart led 3D TV of 40" I did not found the use of smartness and the 3d of a TV. I wanted to buy another TV for my parents now I decided to spent on big panel rather than extra useless features. in 50" you will rarely found a big brand TV with out useless features. I went to a local showroom and found two best TV with great clarity (HD CONTENT) one was Videocon and another was onida I choose Videocon because it was slimmer and having 5 year complete warranty. I HAD A LITTLE ISSUE ABOUT THIS BRAND BUT THINKING ABOUT MAKE IN INDIA CAMPAIN OF OUR HON! PRIMINISTER I THOUGHT MAKE IN INDIA CAMPAIN WOULD BE SUCCESSFULL WHEN INDIAN BUYER WILL TRUST OUR INDEGENOUS BRANDS. NOW THINK WHAT MORE A COMPANY CAN DO TO SELL HIS PRODUCT. I bought this Videocon 40 Inch Full HD LED TV for 28,000 from flipkart(After having applied banker offer of 15% discount). I ordered it on sunday 3pm and flipkart delivered it to home on next monday 9:30 AM. Wow what a fast delivery it is!. Flipkart itself raised a service request for installation , Videocon installation team came after 30 hours from TV delivery for installation which is free of charge. TV picture quality and sound quality both are good. If you attach external speakers then it will be further nice as all flat TVs have inbuilt problem of sound. I'm very happy for having bought this TV. I saved at least 23,000Rs as compared to bigger brand like Samsung. All these electronic items go absolete in every 6 months as still more TVs to come such as, ultra slim, Ultra HD, smart TV and curved TV. With this speed in the revolution my plan was to spend very less money and get bigger TV and flipkart helped me. Thanks flipkart for amazing speed in delivery.

I have been plannign to buy a 50 inch tv for quite some time and was looking at VU but it went out of stcok everywhere and then zeroed in on this tv after visiting several physical stores. I found this TV only at one retailer and was impressed with the quality. No one except Flipkart was giving 10k for my existing LCD tv hence went with Flipkart. Bought the TV on 8 Nov and got it on 10 Nov as promised. Amazing Flipkart delivery as the delivery happened within the sceduled time.Videocon guy came only on Wednesday for the installation after several calls. Have used the TV for 1 week now and hence writing this review. The TV is sleek and is very good for its price. You need to have a HD connection (which i do) to get the best as a normal SD connection on such a big tv might not look all that great. I read about the sound quality by some users but on my HD connection, i found the sound to be absolutely fine. The sound is a bit low ( as mentioned by someone) when playing through USB but i have a soundbar so no issues there. USB plays pretty much all the standard ovie formats. The TV reads flawlessly from my 500 GB hard disk. I dont think you can compare this to a Sony Bravi engine and i think it wont be fair also to do that considering the price. I went with the buy India campaign like few others did and i am happy with my choice. I wanted a 50 inch tv for the world cup next year and with an HD connection, i am ready. Its a value for money tv for sure.

Writing this review after using the V-LED for the past 2 weeks. Was very skeptical about buying this LED at first due to the brand and its quality. Visited many local shops – Vijay sales, Reliance, Kapila, Better deals, Sargam etc. which have not criticized the TV since all looks same at this 50 inch size because all are 1080 FHD. The little difference seems to be on the looks, some has given steel edges to give their product a premium look but for a hefty price difference of Rs. 20000. The bluerays worked the same for all the brands, if we watch it from a proper distance. After all market research, we put and an order on 22 January 2015 at flipkart because of HDFC and exchange offer, since local dealers were not providing any of the offers. When we received it, its carton indeed seemed to be very large, however, have gotten so used to it after putting on the wall on the same day and now seems good watching from a distance of 12-15 feet. V-care / Flipkart provided us the next day service for un-boxing and putting it on the wallmount. The three years warranty / AMC was also completed by Videocon on the same day and computerized AMC numbers for three years provided to us. The additional two years AMC would cost around 15K bucks and it was provided free of cost. Its great. The LED price is good (VALUE FOR MONEY) and brand support is EXCELLENT (in bold). The build quality is excellent and edges are same as of Samsung, LG etc. The display is nothing short of fantastic & watching a 1080p movie is an incredible experience with the dual speakers. Bottom line – The Videocon VKC50 LED TV is simply exceptional and looking at the specs the fact that it’s a Videocon (MADE IN INDIA), I didn't find it too hard to justify the price to the better half. One should go for it if you're looking for this type LED at approx. 40K price and extended warranty as a BONUS. DEFINITELY go for it if you want to theatre experience at your home.

I bought this for Rs.28500 with some freebies... Pros: 1. Superb Picture Quality, Equally good to top brands. Good Sharpness 2. Slim 3. 3 Years Warranty 4. Value For Money 5. 1080P Video Playback from USB. Most Formats are Supported. 6. VGA/PC Port and Composite in and out 7. SD Up scaling quality is good 8. Fast UI and easy navigation 9. Fast reading from USB Cons: 1. Really bad sound quality. 2. No Headphone Jack output. I am figuring out how to connect amplifier to this TV as there is no headphone jack. If somebody has tried to connect using composite audio out then please let me know, if it is working. I have not tried that as of now. Initially I was about to purchase Toshiba/Samsung TV, but when in store saw this TV, really stunned by picture quality. So I decided Sound quality can be enhanced but there is no alternative to picture quality so bought this TV. But now figuring out how to connect to home theater, hope it works with Composite Out and hope it has HD ARC (Audio Return Channel). Will update once I try out this, Giving 4 star due to bad sound quality and no headphone jack. Thanks, Sushant

I ended up buying the TV from a physical store, as Flipkart does not offer the 3 year warranty on this TV (which physical stores do - available as an "Extended Warranty" card from Videocon stocked by the physical store). The TV itself is the standard product at this price range, with 2 HDMI ports and a single USB port. The USB port was able to play the latest formats including 1080p content without any issues. The picture quality is fine, I had to increase the color from 55 (default) to about 70 to make it match the picture of the Samsung TV this one replaced. The one big complaint I have about this TV is the sound quality - it's pathetic, very hollow sounding and the volume itself is exceedingly low when playing back from USB. Other than that one drawback (resolved by hooking up the TV to the home theater system we already had), I'd recommend this TV to anyone looking for a large screen (50") at a value price. Edit - adding this section on 27-Jan-2015 ---------------------------------- We've had the TV now for a couple of months, and are still delighted with the picture quality. It's awesome, and the sound is excellent when there's a 2 channel sound feed (like from the Tata Sky HD box). The problem with sound is when there's a 5.1 channel sound feed (typically from a downloaded high resolution movie). The other problem with the TV is that the subtitles are small, and the software does not allow the subtitles size to be increased or color changed. The USB port still manages to play all video formats thrown at it - so full marks to Videocon on that front. That being said, with the Micromax 50B5000FHD 126 cm (50) LED TV available at 15K cheaper (but with only 1 year warranty), Videocon might no longer be the best option if you're looking for a "Value for Money" deal...

I got this product yesterday and got it installed within a day. It is nice product and with HD channels the performance is very good. As a part of Diwali offer i was given 4 years of extended warranty and on the invoice flipkart has mentioned that 4 years extended warranty card is available inside the box. But when the engineer came for installation opened the box, there is nothing like 4 years of warranty card inside the box. I called Flipkart customer care but they are telling invoice will be sufficient to avail extended warranty of 4 years (So why you mention it that warranty card inside the box?). We all know which kind of answer we are getting while we called for service without warranty card. If you are planning to purchase this to get extended warranty, Please dont go for it.

The product is worth buying it. You'll get the value of the money, you're paying. Picture quality & sound is good not great. I found service support is very bad from Videocon as myself & Flipkart team followed-up regularly for more than 10 times for instillation but no one has turned up in my native, later I did wall mounting on my own.
