Decent specs for a decent price. 1. Good build quality and finish. 2. Good performance. 3. Screen is 60hz but its an ips display so colours are nice and accurate. Brightness is good too for indoors. 4. keyboard is backlit,only red lighting though. When connected to power supply backlight is always on. looks good. 5. speakers are decent. headphone jack gives you the options to select from aux,headphone,mic,etc. supports Dolby digital. 6. Those who are saying about right click lag is true,but after windows update and latest Nvidia drivers the lag is gone. 7. Battery backup is average. but it's a gaming laptop,so I'm not concerned too much as while gaming you've to be connected to power supply anyways. 8. It's a short time review. I'll add few things after using it for few weeks. 9. package seal was broken,maybe to change the power adaptor. Inner seal was intact. 10. Flipkart's packaging was not up to the mark this time as you can see in the pic. All in all, I'm pleased with the product. I've to test it further for more pros n cons.

I'm using it for about two weeks. Kudos to Flipkart for 48 hours fast delivery with a very good packaging. Now, let's talk about this BEAST!! Acer has found a kind of sweet spot for a mid range gaming laptop. What I got for 75,000 INR is INSANE!!! Well, an 8th gen Core i5, IPS (not a TN panel, hey MSI :-P ) 1080p display, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 (6 GB VRAM), ecstasy it is. Boots are really quick, thanks to 128 GB SSD, which is not the fastest around, but is fine by the price. There's a USB 3.1 Type-C port too. CPU temperatures really shoot sometimes to 90 degrees and even further when gaming at ultra settings, though GPU temperatures are at optimum. I'd like to point out that this configuration particularly doesn't come with an Acer certified AC Power brick, not even the charging cable, don't know why. Instead, the charger and the cable brands as "HONGLIN". The retail invoice mentioned IGST (International GST). So, maybe it is imported, and they might, had to change the official cable and the power brick, this is just my opinion. I hope that the cable and the power brick work fine in the future.

Great laptop, got it for 75,000 during bbd sale, which is nice price for it, battery is okay, speakers are loud and good but lacks bass as it doesn't have any sub-woofers, hardware combination is excellent better than i7 8th in my opinion as heat management was designed for i7 7700hq and won't be able to handle new i7, BTW i5 8300h is better than i7 7700hq.... Screen is also great, an IPS panel 60hz... Cpu temperature goes upto 98°c while playing new games at ultra, which isn't good for laptop in Long run... Solution to this is: - Undervolt cpu by 0.14v using Intel XTU - install geforce experience and turn on "whisper mode" and then limit every game's fps to 60 in nvdia control panel This'll give u Max 72°c temp. Even while gaming and fans on auto

Got it for 59,550 after hdfc cashback and exchange 10,500 on discount price of 75,000. So pretty sweet deal. For 60,000, it is a beast. Some points: 1) Intel i5 8300h is much more compatible with geforce 1060 (check bottleneck.com). So awesome graphics and cpu combo. 2) Design and control of fans etc is perfect with predator sense. 3) Played Witcher 3 Ultra High settings, was a breeze. Now some Cons: 1.) Felt the hinge to be a bit weak. 2.) Heat coming off the exhaust on the back, so a bit uncomfortable working on the lap. That being said, on the price point, it is a KILLER DEAL, and every worth of your penny. DO NOT BUY IN 1 lakh plus. Let the price come down to 75-80k in sales, and then make your purchase. You won't be disappointed. Time to kill some aliens on my predator, pun intended :).

I ordered this laptop on 11th oct and flipkart delivered it on 20th oct. Actually I have to go pune flipkart hub to receive it. Then when I unboxed it, outer box seal was open. I opened inside box which was sealed. But when I tried to register it on acer site it's showing already registered. I've no idea what's going on. Either product is used or replaced I don't know. Edit: Flipkart did replacement because of warranty issues which I was facing. Thanks to flipkart customer care service. New laptop came and I registered it successfully on acer website. Regarding laptop, everything is fantastic except heating problem. Those who play a lot and facing 90+ degree celsius heating problem. I'll suggest you to use intel xtu, download it from intel site and set core voltage offset to -0.125, you can decrease as per results you're getting. Apart from nfs payback I ran most of the games below 80 degree. If it doesn't work for you, I'll suggest you to join Acer predator helios 300 group on fb. There's already one folder created by admin named Hero i5 8th gen. Download it and run it while playing games. Keep your fans at max with coolboost on. You'll get below 80 degrees in every situation. It will help your laptop to last long.

1060 is a beast and Acer maintained its fame. Now it's time for pros and cons Pros:~ 1)Great performance 2) Good built quality 3) Display of this 2018 variant is on a different level than that of 2017 variant 4)Easy multitasking with i5 8300h and 16gigs of ram Cons:~ 1) Battery life sucks, but still better than msi 2)Heat management is poor , but it can be solved by undervolting -0.12 and maximizing fan speed, 3) Trackpad isn't that good overall it's the best in the price range, so if you have a budget of 1 lakh go for it then, and if you are ready to wait for next bbd you may get it at 75 k .
