Used it for 1.5 years and the motherboard is now dead . Htc service centre is asking for 10k for motherboard replacement.

i got this phone for 24.5k outside with free flipcover and screen guard. This is the best value for money phones ever. 1.) Amazing camera front and back 2.) No lags while browsing or playing games like asphalt 8, real racing 3 etc. 3.) Beautiful and sleek design 4.) amazing touch response so much better than the note 2 i was using( changed from samsung to HTC trust me guys you wont repent it) 5.)HTC sense 6 blink feed ..and boom sound speakers..good call quality 64 bit qualcomm snapdragon octacore best wid 2 gb ram what astounds me is htc inbuilt apps use very less ram like around 600mb rest all is free for us even after playing asphalt 8 for like 1 hr and talking on phone it handled multitasking so smoothly.. 6) Great screen with Cornila gorilla glass though Cons: 1.) Battery could have been bit more ..2600 takes you through a day...nothing more. 2.) Device gets warm when uses extinsively ,that doesnt bother me since im using a cover plus doesnt effect its performance ..even sony xperia z2 and note 2 used to get warm when using a lot. My ratings:9/10 go for it guys

Only problem is heating and battery life. If you are not concerned about battery, don't give a thought and buy it.

I was very excited when I was waiting for the mobile to get delivered. Because of the attractive features of HTC 820 and Offer Price 21,143. Once I received, day by day I was surprised to know the fact when I using. (Heartbroken). Ordered on 07/12/2015 Received on 10/02/2015 Returned on 19/02/2015 Bad things are: 1. Too much of heating problem when in normal use. 2. Too much heat after charging mobile( Not used while charging) 3. Very low voice when I receive call. I had to press into my ears. 4. Camera is not that clear as it should be. (13 MP & 8 MP). Expected lot more clarity. Good things: 1. Display is good, smooth touch. 2. Big screen. Mobile body looks good. Light weight. 3. Speed was good. Suggestions: Buy at your risk. I don’t know is it the problem with only my set or the Model fault.

The best part of the phone is sheer quality. in my home, we have around 6-7 smartphones, Samsungs, Sony's, Google Nexus, nokia etc- the signal is weak for airtel and vodafone, and the calls will drop frequently for all the mentioned handsets- Not with this HTC cell- i can make business calls via phone and move inside the house simultaneously- tremendous feeling. All the positives are described in other reviews- only slight disappointment is battery life- but that is also only due to higher expectations i guess. Overall, i am satisfied and will recommend this phone

first of all i want to say that don't believe all those people out there who are saying this set has bad battery backup in first 1 week or max 1 and half week its battery drains very quickly but after this time period, this gives decent battery backup i am using it for about one month and i get 1 full day with moderate to little heavy usage easily. if u are facing battery issues do following steps 1. drain your battery to 0 percent 2. now switch off your set and charge it in switch off mode to 100%. 3.now switch on your mobile and use it normaly till 15% battery is left. 4. now again charge your set to 100 % in switch off mode 5. follow these steps for 3 to 5 days and your set battery backup will improve remember one thing try not to use your mobile while charging. NOW ABOUT THE HEATING PROBLEM AT first the set used to heat alot while using data on mobile (i.e. internet). and playing games, watching videos and doing stuff on youtube. buy after few SOFTWARE updates, THE HEATING ISSUES HAVE REALLY VANISHED. now even playing games for long times or using data does not make the phone heat up even a little bit which is awesome as previously i was worried for heating, now the review first of all the design is great and flipkart gives free flip cover with the set which is of good quality too. now being a sony user , i did not really like the display quality at first but later on i started to like it specially after updates and THE AUTO BRIGHTNESS sensor does the awesome job , even in bright sun light , phone is easily visible. sound quality is excellent and specially bass is good. camera is also awesome and buttery smooth tap to focus is instant and photo quality is good. everything is good but being a sony user it took me some time to adjust to blinkfeed and now i am compeletely satisfied with this set its awesome i would recomend this to everyone out there.
