I've switched from an OnePlus 3 to the Asus 6Z (8GB RAM, 256GB Storage variant). Display: This is by far the best IPS panel that I've ever looked at. Contrast, color punchiness etc. are way better than mid-range phones's IPS panels (compared them side by side). Due to HDR10 support, YouTube videos look great, very vivid, high contrast, honestly, couldn't tell it's an IPS panel when comparing side by side with the OnePlus 3 (AMOLED). Display is even better than my MacBook Pro's IPS panel. Blacks are VERY deep, you won't even feel like you're staring at an IPS panel unless you compare it with an AMOLED with a pure black screen open on both. Battery Life: I'm getting around 14 hours of screen-on time! Used to get just 4 hours with OnePlus 3 with similar usage. What's the benefit of your phone having all the power and features in the world if you can't use it without being tensed about battery life? Performance: No complaints, this thing flies. Camera: Excellent clarity and details. GCam is already available, and takes things even further. Best selfie camera ever (due to the back camera also acting as the front camera). Video is super stable with EIS at 4K, more stable than phones with OIS! The sample I've shared was taken at 4x digital zoom. OS: Very close to Stock Android, but with some extra (useful) features. Still, I'd give it 8/10 if I give Oxygen OS 10/10. Oxygen OS has a feature for locking certain apps from being cleared by the 'clear all' button on the recents screen, which this phone lacks. Oxygen OS also has better gesture control (play/pause, next/prev for music), and the ability to change accent colors. Audio: Very loud, very good speakers! Audio output via the headphone port is excellent. The supplied headphones are amazing (on par or better than my 4.5K INR Beyerdynamic wireless headphones). No earpiece issue faced so far. I think most people who are complaining have 'outdoor mode' enabled (it's on by default), which cranks up the volume to an ins

Great battery life... great performance... no lagging issu.no heating issu. and people telling that the call quality is very poor but according to my opinion there is no issu with call quality.. I love that os(zenui) wich is close to stock android. zero blotware.. one thing should improve via ota update is the night mood I means low light image quality is poor , not upto the standard.the speaker is very loud and clear.. according to me 4.5 out of 5

Overall a good phone in terms of performance. The new updates for supposedly improving the call quality has been installed but there is no marked improvement in volume although the screeches have reduced. So I am carrying the Bluetooth earphones because hearing the other person in noisy areas is still a problem! This is one issue. The second issue is the audio quality through phones via DTS-X. It's bad, to put it plainly. The phone offers setting up a headphone profile for earphones or headphones of different manufacturers. I have the Sony MDR XB75AP although that model is not listed. It has the option for the XB50 which I chose. The audio Wizard offers 03 built in headphone modes including a wide mode. But none of these offer good sound! The so called wide mode increases the sound quality and is the better of the 03 options available, although it's far from expectations! The sound is rather boomy. Apart from this the custom equalizer in advanced mode can be adjusted over 10 bands but it doesn't do much either. Basically the music lacks in body - bass midrange and treble - all sound thin! There's neither any punch in bass nor warmth in the midrange! Hi resolution audio playback is supported in Poweramp. I have switched from an Honor 8 Pro which also has DTS audio inbuilt, and the Sony XB75AP earphone sounds fantastic on that phone! The amplifier in the Honor is definitely superior. So I will have to continue with the Honor for music. That said, the speed, build quality and aesthetics of this phone are very good. No doubt on that. I am using the 6z as my work phone and the 8gb ram unit performs admirably! No lags or glitches despite running multiple apps, except for the points listed above (which are quite important for me). Have installed Nova as the primary default launcher instead of the Asus launcher. The phone does not heat up during long usage, sunlight visibility is good, the battery lasts for over 36 to 38 hours despite all the heavy use.

The phone is so good to use. 1. Battery performance is superb. 2. Speaker Sound is loud and quite good. 3. Headset performance with Audio Wizard is even better. 4. Though it has IPS LCD display but it's pretty smooth and awesome. 5. I didn't find any problem with the voice calling operations. 6. RAM management is poor. Hope with latest software updates it will be fine. 7. Outdoor camera is beautiful but but Low light and indoor camera still struggles. Waiting for latest updates.

I have been using this for about 2 days now. Product shipped with FW version 116 out-of-the-box and April 2019 security patch. I manually updated it to FW 156 version which brought June 2019 Security patch. ** Update as of 23 July 2019 ** With FOTA FW update 167, call quality issues have been largely fixed. There is still some roughness/distortion/pitch/amplification of higher frequencies, but you can converse at Max volume [perfect at (Max-1) volume]. Pros - Everyone knows this so no point in repeating. The way the camera flips up automatically when there is an incoming video call on WhatsApp looks cool and futuristic. :-). However, also need to test this when the phone is lying on the desk/in the pocket. I sincerely hope the proximity sensor can handle this scenario. *** Edit *** - Unfortunately, another issue here. my phone was lying flat on the table when a video call came in. The screen notified "Camera can't flip". After accepting the call, had to fiddle around with camera to flip. On the same note, had propped up the phone against the laptop screen after taking the video call. On disconnecting the call, the camera tried to flip back but failed. Here again, had to manually flip the camera. Still have to test the scenario of the phone being in the pocket, but I presume it would be the same. Cons - 1. At maximum volume, Earpiece is definitely an issue even after 156 update (manually updated, not via FOTA). The pitch is shrill and the conversation sounds distorted. However, at (Max-1) volume, everything is back to almost normal, and perfect at (Max-2). However, not sure how effective (Max-1)/(Max-2) will be in outdoor settings. Disclaimer - Max volume earpiece issue tested with Outdoor mode OFF. Issue persists. 2. Low light performance is not upto the mark. However, this is with 116 version of FW. I haven't had the time to check the photos with 156 version. 3. I haven't had strong direct sunlight in these 2 days, just normal monsoon sun. The screen is well l

Received my Asus 6z 8GB | 256GB variant 6 days back. after hundreds of reviews, and hours of research, infinite comparison videos on One Plus 6, 6T, 7, 7Pro, Huwaei, RedMi K22 Pro, Samsung, Oppo Reno, even I Phone Xr and Xs with Asus 6Z i went for Asus 6z. it is very true that, this phone may be lesser than these phones on one or the other front, however, This phone is a Real Darkhorse. it can outcaste any phone in terms of practicality. 1. Display : it may not have the best ever display in its segment, but the way in which it balances in built screen recording, night mode etc. thats superb. it is NOT AT ALL lesser than any AMOLED display. in fact, in many terms, this display looks even better in terms of sharpness. 2. Camera: This is the most striking part of this phone, and i can proudly say, this camera is superior to even one plus 7Pro in many terms. the practical design, various angles, panoramas vertical & horizontal both, pro mode, portrait mode etc. no words to describe its beauty. and yes.. THIS FLIP Camera is NOT AT ALL DELICATE part of this mobile. in fact its rock solid and i would say solid than any other part of this phone. 3. battery: i went through every review of you tube regarding Asus 6z, be it technical guruji, geeky renjit, tech burner, Ruhez, jerririgeverything, unbox therapy etc. etc. everyone say, 5000mAh battery is massive but the way in which charger has been configured, it might take more than 2 hours to get it charge.. and many said.. this long time of charging may be deal breakning.. especially vooc charging of oppo and redMi etc.. but i m using this phone since last 6 days, it charges from 10% to 99% in less than 55 minutes. and since the battery is 5000mAh in size, it fairly goes for 30 to 36 hours in single charge. that means out of last 6 days i have touched the charger for merely 3 times. it gives an amazing confidence that no matter what.. wherever you may travel, be in range or out of range etc. this battery will never end i
Perfect product!!
