I received the delivery on 7th Dec 2013, got a great deal from Flipkart in my SBI card. Used it sparingly for 1 week and really loved it. Then I sent to my parents to use. To my surprise after it crossed Fipkart's 30 days replacement period i.e. 30 days it stopped booting up. First we thought battery drained so charged it and it showed battery screen saver as it is charging. but didn't power on :( Running around ASUS service stations which are really not with good network, one guy in Durgapur kept it for 20 days and finally said check with flipkart if they can replace! Or he have to send it to kolakata which might take 1 month plus!!! grrrr... First time I thought of ASUS being a reliable option and got screwed, I wish i could have opted for Samsung. Won't recommend ASUS product in general now onwards, specially if you are not in a metro city.

This is the best tablet I have found : Pros : - Hardware : 1.2 Ghz single core / 1 GB Ram, Only single core with hyperthreading, not dual/quad core. But no lag. Excellent performance. - 4/5 - Call facility - using micro sim supported .- 5/5 - Network : 3G/2G / over sim service. WI-fi supported. -5/5 - Software : Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. - 4/5 - Memory : 4 GB user memory available. Expandable 32 GB micro SD supported. - 4/5 - Display : 1280 * 800 pixels.Full HD.- 5/5 - Battery : 4270 Li - Polymer. Lasts 3 weeks for no-low usage. 1 week for medium usage. and 2 days for heavy usage. Also asus has smart battery save app. - 5/5 - Gaming : It works for temple run, asphalt, etc. medium - heavy games. Still can be improved for higher end games. - 4/5 - Camera : It has 3MP rear and 1.3MP front camera. Decent pictures can be captured. Also Skype video calls made. - 3/5 - Price : Just around 13000/- for all these features. - 5/5 Cons : - Camera : Rear/Front camera resolution can be improved. But still very good for daily use. - 3/5 - Accessories : It has usb charger. but, Need to buy screen guard, case cover, headphone, micro sd card from your pocket. - 2/5 Overall Its the best deal !! Go for it, without a second thought.

awesome work by Asus! This updated version of fonepad is the best tab below 25000! as nexus7 has no unlocked version in INDIA yet!! The upgraded 1.6 GHz processor, is really very fast and with lot of internal memory, this is the best u can get between 25k at just 18000! Absolutely no hanging problems, nothing! battery could be made a bit more better, but still is good! well done asus, keep it up!!

Don't buy this product now because it not worth the current price(18k). If you are searching for a tablet from a good make with in the budget of 18k, don't waste your money by investing on this plastic bounded with metal, tablet; Go for nexus 7 32gb wifi + 3g version at the price point of 16k "it really worth " am using it for the last 3 months and very much satisfied about its quality. Reasons: Stock android Corning gorilla glass protection (in a reviews i had read that one guy got his front panel broke with in days after his purchase) Quad core processor with NVIDIA Tegra3- 1.2 ghz clock speed. Updates from android ( you have to wait long on fonepad) Think twice !!! Before purchasing it.

I just bought the ASUS Fonetab after having warranty problems with an Sony Xperia Arc seller :*( I'm loving the Fonetab & think I'll keep the Arc for a back up, if it's ever repaired. It's heaps better for me in my 50's than trying to use a 4.2" screen. The 7" screen makes the Fonetab much easier to type & edit documents for work. Mine has a rear 3MP camera which I also use a lot for work. I use it for basic photo editing & the resolution's fine for this. My only con I wish the rear camera was an 8MP. Battery life is excellent. I would've loved the new 6" ASUS Fonetab Note that's about to be released, as I think that's a better size. However, I couldn't be without a phone for work whilst waiting, so all round very happy with this one. PS: I bought this for 15000 and now its available on flipkart at 13499 which i think is a steal and if anybody is looking for a tablet ..you should definately go for this one before it gets stocked out and the new one comes which would be expensive.

I had the chance to review Asus Fonepad and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 side by side. I feel Asus wins hands down. Pros - Very good display, probably the best amongst its peers, Good touch screen, Good Asus applications, Very good battery life, Sufficient memory. Cons- Average audio player, Need to load Mx player for full HD videos, Need to have a leather case or there are chances unit will slip from your hand, It uses microsim, browsing experience on 2G is very slow. Overall I would recommend to buy this product since it is the best availible in market for the features and price range. No complaints till now. Thanks

Well have been using it for 3 weeks now, has been win-win situation till now. Neither of the problem occured to my fonepad as described in others review. Pros: screen resolution battery (3 hrs full recharge & takes 2 days for full discharge on 3G), touch is silky smooth better than samsung capacitive screens, sound is better than samsung phones (headphone and speaker both), lightweight & handy With OTG cable u cod access pendrive of NTFS format also (chked with my transcend 8 gb PD) am using 16gb sandisk class10 sd card, no prob of memory dismount with 3G/2G ON. may be ASUS has resolved memory dismount & OTG NTFS problem thru firmware updates, which we get thru system update option over the air (thru ur 2G/3G network). May b others those who r complaining about this issues have not updated to the latest firmware. Ideal for reading, watching movies & hearing songs on the move. Cons: Often lags with multi tasking, even after killing apps frm task manager. Of course dont expect to be turbo fast with single core processor. Seller or ASUS shod include screen guard, flip cover & memory card in the kit, as buyer often makes mistakes while buying these things online, as u dont know whether any memory card wod really support this tablet, also the tablet cover i bought as combo with this tablet is actually a pouch and not a flip cover. I recommend if we have any techie in this group, kindly create one blogspot so that we all cod create our Fonepad group on it and cod share our troubleshooting experience and cod also assist each other on the same.

No tech specs, no silly judgements, a simple review on the product. 1. Plays full HD 1080p videos without any lags. 2. Games are running quite well, the only thing that I felt could be more better is the graphics processor, but it's quite well enough because I am not a hard core gamer. 3. Touch is excellent and responds to 10 fingers all at once. That's an interesting feature for a developer to develop apps for it. 4. Sound is pretty enough for a single person. 5. Overall responsiveness of the device when multi-tasking is smooth. Will continue the review later on this weekend after exploring it more.

I gave 4 stars to Nexus 7. I give 5 stars to Asus Fonepad for the following facts: - it has an all aluminium back (nexus 7 has plastic) - has a rear camera (No rear camera for Nexus 7) - has microSD card support (none for Nexus 7) - is 3G with phone calling capability (Nexus 3G has only data capability, no phone calling) - came with a free Plantronics ML10 Bluetooth - 15% cashback since I used StanChart (so the whole deal costed me just above 11K) All this makes this purchase a very very good deal!! (If you are looking for mainly a gaming tablet then go for Nexus 7)
Surprised with features and competitive price, then surprised with fault :-X!
