I bought this for my wife and she is really happy with it. The touchscreen is good and responsive and it's quite easy to use it, all that theory about gorilla arms are plain wrong. I liked this model a lot as it's compact and only 11-inches while all the other slim devices such as ultrabooks have 13 or 15-inch screens. This is perfect for someone who has to carry a device around for work the whole day. The device is used mainly for word processing, browsing and for watching videos and there hasn't been any sort of performance issues. Battery life is excellent for a device this thin, but the fact that batteries aren't removable is a bit irritating. I haven't had to remove it till now but I'm dreading the day the battery dies (which hopefully won't happen anytime soon). Overall, it's a steal for this price and kudos to Asus for not over pricing it.

The price was close to 24,000 when converted, so I don't know why Asus or our Indian government taxes is causing such a high price here for this low end device. Windows 8 is considered a failure in comparison with Windows 7 in so far the improvements are intrusive design changes and touch implementation that is rarely used in Windows native applications. Bing maps in metro mode does look magnificent, but who uses Bing anyway? The processor is on the slower end, but for 11 inch display you won't feel much lag unless you are using it for gaming. The Sonic Masters internal speakers are loud and clear and is really good for movies and music. Also to note is that Asus is not up to the mark in reliable hardware. Touch screen stopped working in just one month, but International guarantee ensured the screen was replaced. However they took one month to get it done. Overall my advice is don't buy this because you want Windows 8 or touch screen, buy it if you like the small and thin design and looks. Serious users who want sturdy computer for office or college - please avoid.

It has been pointed out time and again that we are living in a world of smaller laptops and bigger smartphones. And I don’t really have anything to complain about if these devices increase my efficiency, keep me entertained and are portable enough to carry around everywhere. Unfortunately, for most people like me who like a full keyboard and a decent processor in a compact and sleek form factor, there aren’t many reasonably priced options out in the market. So I often end up asking – why can’t anyone fit in mid-range specs with a good screen, acceptably portable form factor and a stylish packaging? And as if to answer that question, the Asus VivoBook F202E landed up on the Smartbuy test bench. Needless to say..!!!

Planned to buy an upgrade for my net-book, was stuck with under powered Net book for my travels and everyday net browsing. After a long searching and wait I found this product F202E from Asus. Good looking, sleek, light weight, handy like a net-book and yet powerful. Was not confident at all while seeing the product online in online-stores. But when I saw it in store, bought it on-spot. This is my first week with this product and is very useful and handy, but I miss net-book's battery backup(6 hrs), I can live with 4 hrs backup... Touch screen is smooth and sensitive enough..

The laptop was exactly what I was looking for except that it is not a 4th Gen i5. Wouldn't have minded paying a bit more for that. It suits my computing needs. Very good deal at 33K and at that size. No other model (in the 11.6" range) by any other company includes all these features at this price. It is light weight. All relevant ports (SVGA, HDMI, 2 x USB 2.0 and USB 3.0) have been integrated very well. Quite ultra-portable. Key Board is wide enough. Response time is good. The only thing missing is the back-lit key board. Asus could have included it even if it meant a marginal increase in price. Would give a 4.5 only on this count.

Real value for money. Brilliant build. Smooth operations. Outstanding speakers, lightweight, ultra portable, lightning quick boot and wake from sleep. Overall an outstanding computer, definitely the best in it's segment.

Its nice, battery is around 3.5 hrs and easy to use. you can go for it. It comes with windows 8 which don't allow to install Linux easily because secure boot. Also they wont provide Windows 8 installation cd along with it. And the backup drive wont work if u delete boot loader by mistake or something. I deleted windows 8 and now running win 7 and Linux Mint. Touch screen works with win 7 and linux mint.
Really good!
