This will ensure that the CPU remains cool even under sustained full turbo boost to 3.4 GHz with 100% utilisation, I have got cinebench scores as high as 734 multi threaded. You could undervolt the GPU as well and repaste the GPU & CPU, that is if you can unscrew the damned heatsink on this MB. Download MSI afterburner and reduce the max core clocks by about 200MHz, you will see reduced temps. (MSI afterburner is very restricted because of the lock down by acer) Acer should include the pen by default with this otherwise beautiful machine.

I am using this laptop for three months I am a casual gamer but need a decent graphics card with 360 rotation touch screen laptop and find this beast machine before this I wanted to go with dell 7567 or lenovo legion. Because it is for casual gamer so heat management is not so good but its capable to play high end games. but multi tasking or design kind of work this is awesome but you must upgrade ram and add a ssd also. Also mention that I did not get original acer charger and find some earthing kind of vibration and no acer bag or any other accessories so before make any decision please talk to the seller first. Overall performance will boost with ssd consider a ssd also and upgrade ram. An excellent device by Acer got it for 58k during billion day sale and it's worth it Pros 1. 8th Gen i5 is powerful and power efficient at the same time, it's even more powerful than last year's i5 7300hq at multi core test 2. GTX 1050 is powerful enought to run FIFA 18 in ultra at 60fps, it also plays GTA 5, watch dogs 2 at med to high setting for 40-50 fps 3. Mobility is excellent and is extremely beneficial for students to study from the laptop and play games at the same time 4. Looks and design Cons 1.Cannot install SSD (HDD has to be removed) 2.the graphics card will get old soon when Volta based GPUs arrive this GPU would run latest AAA titles for 1-2 years at max as then you would need more powerful GPU nd more ram 3.No ram upgrade 4.gpu heats a lot so a laptop cooler is a must if you plan to play graphic intensive games, I recommend a 4 fan cooler

honestly, at this price point, you don't get a better laptop. basically, this laptop is made for everyone. display is bright, but not anti glare in sun, you are unlikely to use it in sun, it's heavy. bezels could have been thinner, web cam is decent, woofer is not too aggressive, and does its job perfectly. red keyboard backlight, gtx 1050 with 4gb vram makes it a gaming category, convertible and touchscreen for business and art, it 8th gen on multicore processing benchmarks higher than a 7500u. cons: nothing much to upgrade, SSD is nvme, which is faster but way more expensive compared to sata. cooling solution is not so ideal, gets hot easily, u can change Intel temperature settings overall nice build, form factor is good for the price, specs are unbelievable, lovely. packaging 5*

Purschsed this laptop on diwali sale. Here's my analysis: Great look, ips display, full hd, slim but when it comes to upgrade its quite dissapointing. The motherboard doesnt have upgrade option much. But it has a m2slot and its supports even NVMe ssd card like samsung evo or pro. Which is a huge plus. I have installed samsung evo m2 nvme ssd 250 gb and its working just fine. 1. Ram is soldered onto motherboard so no upgrade to 12 or 16 gb. 2. Gtx 1050 is a good gpu but it is used in slot x4 instead of x16 slot which the motherboard doesnt have it and performance is reduced to 2.5 GT/s instead or 8 GT/s. 3. No extra sata port for internal ssd. So either take out hdd and put ssd or stay happy with hdd. 4. Brightness is low. Even at 100% it doesnt feel like its very bright. Overall, its more about looks than performance. Because it has a m2 slot i am giving it a 4 star out of 5.
