Okay now! Got the laptop today (i.e 26th March). The laptop look fabulous. Just faltered on the body. Now to the important part coz looks are not everything. As flipkart shows in the list of configuration that the laptop has a processor of 3.6gz you will get the 2.8gz laptop. Wait! Wait! now that's not all. The another cherry on top is flipkart says the laptop has Nvidia 1080 GTX, And when in hand you look it up you will see that the laptop has Nvidia 1070 GTX. Man.. Paying 1.70 lakh for a laptop and getting totally different thing in hand.. Just wow! Just to check for the updates of drivers visited the hp support and drivers update site. There it says that we do not support the device has its out dated. I seriously can't understand what is this going on with all this. Just wow flipkart. Thanks for showing that you can't be trusted for the information of the product. I have registered a complain to filpkart now lets see what response they provide.

Amazing beast, got delivered on time also got a gaming laptop backpack free that's also awesome. U can run the latest games in ultra HD settings. Screen and the keyboard are also nice. Its a little bit heavy. But Overall it's amazing . Go for it.

First of all, to clear all misconceptions arising from below reviews (which I went through) in layman terms: 1. It's 1070GTX 8GB gfx. Nothing more, nothing less. 2. 256 GB SSD. "Quite fast, not the fastest" 3. 16GB RAM: Adequate. Again, "not the fastest" 4. It is the old OMEN design, not the new one. So for looks, not that great. 5. 17.3 inch. In case you are not used to this size, it's "really really big" 6. Of course, if you want a big screen, it's gonna be heavy. And it is very heavy. Read the specs for exact number. Go buy a MacBook or a MS Surface if you are looking for portability. Coming to my analysis: 1. This is a GAMING/HIGH-PERFORMANCE laptop. So stop crying over size, weight, looks. Judge on Performance, Quality and Price only. On the same note, if you are looking for a Gaming laptop that looks good as well, go for Alienware. Will cost you though. 2. Graphic Card: Amazing performance. Whether you are looking to play high end games, do 4k video editing or dive into bitcoin mining. 3. If you know a bit about gfx card, you would know that 1070gtx is a pretty bulky gfx. I would say HP has done a good job reducing the size and fitting everything else here. It's VR Ready. 4. Screen size good. Not the best display I have seen. Not 120Hz either. But it's good for an all purpose usage. Most people won't be able to tell the difference, trust me. 5. RAM is 2400Mhz. Would have preferred more, but upgradable. 6. Would have preferred a better cooling system. Fans are strong but noisy. Conclusion: I have already pointed out the bad parts of the laptop above. Every thing else. is good. Comes with office and antivirus as well. 5 stars because at the price point, even a desktop would cost me as much, if not more. I bought it at less than 130000 rupees. If you get it at Rs130000, don't think twice. No other laptop can offer you these specs on a 17 inch laptop at even less than INR150000.

The first time I got a piece that had the box covered with dust. A label was torn off and the HP warranty left was 3 months. I asked for replacement. It did get replaced, but this time also the box was covered with dust. This time, the HP warranty left was 7 months. I did not expect to get brand new and the laptop was working fine as far as I could make out, so accepted. The first time there was an HP backpack (15.6, although the laptop is 17.3). I returned it with the laptop. The replacement did not have a bag at all. That aside, the laptop is pretty good, especially given the 1070 GPU.

The laptop is really good. Its not too heavy and can handle the latest games at native resolution. Looks are very understated which is the way I like it. Cons: 1. No Optical drive. USB optical drive should have been provided at this price point. 2. Battery life very very short. 3. Only 3 usb drives. 4. Its very difficult to open the base to get to the HDD. Only RAM easily accessible. 5. Huge power adapter with jack on right side of laptop. May restrict mouse movement. 6. Speakers are a weak point for this laptop. No bass to speak of. Pros: 1. GTX 1070 2. Good screen. Very vivid and bright. 3. Boots to login screen in five seconds. 4. Cooling fans handle temperatures very well. I have installed a Samsung SSD instead of the HDD and now games load really fast. Very happy with the laptop and the SSD. Would recommend it if budget allows.

The laptop is really good on the price that I got it (Rs 1,30,000). It's a beast and has got tons of power. The display is really bright too. Just buy it.
