3 day extensive testing review: Affordable 4k with slight compromises Positives- 1) 4k, clarity, sharpness and quality of colors for the cost 2) screen size with quality 4k upscaler (major factor) 3) lg service network 4) optical audio out Compromise 1) No 4k playback from usb 2) Non-smart 3) Noise reduction feature is useless as it kills the motion clarity altogether and makes lcd tech feel 10yr old 4) Sound could have been better 5) Does not support 2TB hdd 6) Non-ips screen (no difference actually) 7) No analog output for 5.1 audio, only optical Solution- Use the saved money (approx 25k) to buy a 4k android smart box (4-10k) for super smart experience (better than android tv), HD set-top box and a home theatre system (with optical in) The android box should be 4K. It will support bigger capacity Hdd and play all video/audio formats, wireless display, more apps than android tv.

Clarity at 4k is Excellent. As per specification mentioned in LG website, It does not support 4K movies through USB and supports only up to 1080p through USB media. Has only one USB interface. 4K video playback is only through HDMI.

first of all I appreciate the flipkart for their service installation and demo. compared to showroom price of the tv the price is reasonable at flipkart. I got the tv for 44900 I am happy for the price, coming to the quality of the tv, Hd channels are playing very very good but normal channels not upto the mark. compared to the Samsung it has little bit low clarity, but Samsung tv price is high, overall good for this price, again lg service centers are more compared to Samsung service centers. if the tv have any issues lg technicians will come to your home and see the problem, but in Samsung it is not possible.

Go for this tv only if you need picture clarity and your not looking for any smart features. Audio is not that great but when I added philips 5.1 speaker system, its ok. Video clarity is very good. only one usb and two HDMIs. So if your looking for a branded 4K tv without any smart features please go for this.

i see ppl trying 4k playback from USB.. it wont work don't even try. don't know why ppl buy 4k tv's and try playing videos using usb, use HDMI it has better data bandwidth so your video frames will not drop. LG usb is limited to mp4 H.264.. so other formats may not work.
